Cantorion - Llandrindod
Welcome to Cantorion - Llandrindod. We are a non-auditioned, mixed, four-part choir based in the heart of Llandrindod Wells - from which we take out name. Members are drawn from Llandrindod Wells and the surrounding areas. Our repertoire is wide but whilst some, but far from all, of the works we perform were originally written as church music we are not a religious organisation - we just love great music.

Our "Come and Sing"
Stainer's Crucifixion
on Saturday, 23 March 2024
was very well attended by choral singers from Cantorion, Powys and beyond and an appreciative audience joined us for an informal performance
and post-concert refreshments..
Our MD Hilary Cox reflected:
I am sitting in a rosy glow after yesterday's event. It always had elements of the unknown, and inviting friends and even 'strangers' to join us was a risk, though how very much worth taking!
I especially enjoyed the chance to work in such detail: articulation, dynamics, expression of words, and more, because the sense of intent, concentration and self discipline was palpable and evident. To sustain this over the entire rehearsal period and performance was truly admirable.
We were supported and encouraged by the provision of tea and cake - essential for a cheerful, well sustained effort.
